Unsurprisingly I find it very easy to be thankful on sunny Saturdays. Fresh bread for breakfast, making muffins, cycling alongside a sparkly sea, reading Hebrews on the beach and crying at the wonder of Jesus, lunch with an old friend, laughter, eating cheese and more fresh bread, olives, pottering along the sea front for walks and chats. Another old friend to laugh with and the prospect of food out with lovely people tonight. Happy sigh.

Thankful for… Finding an old CD entitled Random. Putting it on whilst driving home and singing along very very loudly to R Kelly’s Ignition, Simon and Garfunkel’s Celia, Eddi Reader’s Swimming Song, The Smith’s How Soon is Now and other random delights. Glad the CD lived up to it’s name. Also glad for husbandface’s ADHDman moments bringing me out of work grump and into the joy of the weekend.

Day 8
Thankful for… Looking back over old photos from our different pasts. Thankful for the God who walked with us this far and will be with us to the end. Grateful for hands that have held us. Trying to remember that today is all we have and live well in it.
Day 7
Thankful for… The epic feast of the evening, bring and share dinners always being the way to over cater and enjoy lots of lovely food. The 15 people crammed into our living room, laughing, chatting and thankful to God for this being what church is all about.
Day 6
Thankful for… 2 years since we laughed nervously, embraced vulnerability, hid behind sofas and soft toys and then jumped off a cliff hand in hand and started this crazy adventure:
