Ridiculously beautiful world. Soon the sun will rise before I get out of the house but these last weeks of sunrises are proving good for this weary soul. Especially when this line from Karine Polwart’s Four Strong Walls fills me with delight at the nature of my Makers love for me - “I see myself as you see me my friend, oh you put me back together again” #hope #spring #wonder #joy #sunrise #music #balmformywearysoulEven black dog days are made better with sunshine and pretty flowers. Hello spring hope. #blueskies #flowers #hopeSomething is missing... (there was a ramshackle play shed...) now to work out how to fit some trees, wild garden, firepit and seating into this space :) feels like we are moving well beyond early years parenting... #spring #gardenrescue #nextstageofparentingCleared out the garden and found this beauty :) frog or toad? #springcleaning #firstwarmday #springDaily SPRING is almost here post :) here’s the first wild primrose on our front lawn. Such hope of joys to come. #spring #cantgetenoughofit #hope #joy #primrosesJust started this and already in tears after reading of Dorothy Wordsworth and her love for the Lakes. My heart aches for those hills again but I am delighted to have found such good company for this leaning into the space and place I am journey of now. #womenofnature #naturewriting #achingforthelakes #gladofthesouthdowns #reading #writingwildArchives

Not everything is Black and White…
I’ve been ranting in my head all morning, it’s no good, I’ve got to let this out. I’m tired of not saying what I really think. I’m tired of being fearful that if I say what I really think I’ll … Continue reading
That’s how the light gets in…
Trudging along the road tired and weary, my mind swirling with the usual thoughts of despair and darkness. The train of grumbling narrative chugged along it’s usual tracks. The same cycle: Where is God? Does he even exist? I can’t … Continue reading
Something nothing can change
I’m not one for usually posting ‘gospel presentations’, generally they make me feel a little ill, still scarred from the overuse of ‘Two Ways to Live’ at university I run from the general idea of them. They can seem to … Continue reading
Weakness pt2 – Some questions for you.
As promised here’s part 2 of the weakness contemplations. This is the one where I ask many questions. Or possibly the same question over and over again: are we really ready to admit to being weak in our churches and … Continue reading
Actual Friendship
One of the things to swirl around my brain at the weekend was the genius nature of actual gospel friendship. That sounds like a very jargonified thing. But, what I mean by that is friendship that is based on the … Continue reading
