- And so the sun sets on another year of the boys in school. Year 1 and 3 are dusted off and put on the shelf. The last year has been surreal to say the least. But for now I sit glad of 4 weeks off work in front of me. Time to hang out with the goons. Time to have time off, enjoy space, mooch around with my team and generally practice a simplified life. So I’m going dark on these social media spaces for now. Time to reduce my inputs, lean into my core and enjoy the present moment in front of my face. Have amazing summers one and all. See you on the flip side. #goingdark #timeoff #summerholidays #backsoon #sunset #schoolsoutThere aren’t many better ways to start the day. #seaswimming #endorpins #happy #joy #blueskies #brightonlife #hoveactuallyFeeling the weight of this beautiful ending to John O’Donohue’s birthday blessing as I sit at the end of a lovely day.A treasure trove of delights. A delicious heap of wonder. A cavern to be explored. A feast to be tasted and a stack of worlds to enter into. Love my birthday stash. #birthday #books #wonder #delight #loot #happysigh #wheredoIstart?Insanely pretty morning with the parents at the lovey Leonardslee Gardens. In true 2021 style husbandface was out of the picture with feeling grim post second vaccine but we had fun, melted in the heat and came home for birthday cake. I might be 43 tmw but apparently never too old for some good old hedgehog joy cake from my Mum. #birthday #leonardsleegardens #tirednow #beauty #cakePretty epic 48 hours away from the smallest members of our team. Time to relax, eat good food, walk in pretty place, read books and enough time to miss them. Heading back today with a heart full of gratitude for my parents looking after the boys, for their v peaceful house and for my co-captain of this ship we are on through all this crazy life adventure. Now. Back to the fray. #rest #timeoff #grateful #favouriteandbest #beauty #reading #joy

We could argue whether this is lockdown 2 or 3 but for us in the world of small children at home it’s lockdown 2 for sure. The weird fake lockdown that happened in November just doesn’t count, I could still … Continue reading
I’ve lost count of the people over the years who ask: ‘why is she called Binface?’ I accept that she just is now. When we pray for her, we pray for Binface. Son1 doesn’t know she has another name. I … Continue reading
Thankful for… Lazy Saturday morning with Binface, asking each other the questions from the weekend section of the Guardian, chatting about ‘The God I don’t Understand’, trying to hold the questions together with trust in a God who is in … Continue reading
Thankful for… The arrival of Binface, cuddles, fish pie, trooping off to Sainsbury’s for chocolate and beer.
The utter, utter hilarity of the letting agent today. Really, are you SURE you want this dump? Really? The buzz, the fear, the joy, the insanity, the feeling of free fall as we jump. Telling all this to Binface and … Continue reading
Relief that I’m not really that mental after all. Enjoying the sunshine and exercise kick this morning. Binface, B, Brighton beach and pretty singing. The first shakeaway of the year. Nutella and malted milk biscuits. Mmmm.
