Understandably no pictures are available on the internetski of little Matthew Arnold (and I’m sure that having a famous name like that wouldn’t help the google searches). But I think this smile might be all you need to know; here’s one very proud Dad. I am Aunty Kath. Or Auntie Kath. Lets have a poll – Aunty or Auntie? Spell check says Auntie but I’m not convinced.
Auntie, definitely. Both are correct, but “aunty” looks awful.
And Auntie just wins in a Google Fight:

Congrats to all!
Congratulations, Auntie Kath. I go with Auntie , I’m an auntie to 5 nieces, nephews and a nephew-in-law from my side of the family, and to 6 nieces and nephews from Colin’s side. I have innumerable Aunties too – 2 proper ones and all my mum’s 27 cousins and my dad’s 12 cousins were also called ‘Auntie’ in the far off ’60s when I learnt good manners (or their wives were – obviously not the men!) So I would never spell auntie with a “y” myself. I’ll be interested to see what other people think!
I am definitely an Auntie!
